About this Event
This event aims to bring together professionals, charities and volunteers working with victims of domestic abuse across Wiltshire to introduce a new booklet called Fresh Thoughts.
The booklet was originally published by Soroptimists in Dorset and has now been adapted for Wiltshire. It is designed to be used by professionals and volunteers to support conversations with women fleeing domestic abuse. It includes advice on digital safety, the legal process, housing and local support services. We believe that it fills a gap in our local provision by pulling information together in a single document which uses clear explanations appropriate to those who are not familiar with the legal system.
The Wiltshire version of the booklet has been created by Swindon and Salisbury Soroptimists.
You will be able to take away free copies of the booklet on the night.
Many thanks to Society Without Abuse and Swindon Rotary club for sponsor this event and to Wiltshire Sheriff's fund for their grant towards printing costs.
