Fancy trying Salsa? You don’t need a partner. You don’t need any experience. You don’t even need to book.Every Wednesday, LATINMania! takes over Alexander’s Live for an evening of Cuban Salsa classes, social dancing and a friendly midweek night out in Chester.
Complete beginners are genuinely welcome. If you’ve never danced Salsa before, this is designed so you can simply turn up and give it a go.
Come on your own, bring a friend or come as a group. Partners rotate throughout the classes, so there’s no need to arrive with someone to dance with.
As your confidence grows, there are different class levels to progress through, followed by social dancing until late with Salsa, Timba, Bachata, Reggaeton, Merengue, Latin Pop and more.
EVERY WEDNESDAY
Doors — 7pm
Beginners / Improvers 1 Cuban Salsa — 7.15pm–8.15pm
Second class arrival & social dancing — 8.15pm
Improvers 2 / Intermediate — 8.30pm–9.30pm
Social dancing — 9.30pm until late
ENTRY
£8 — One class + social dancing
£13 — Both classes + social dancing
No partner required. No experience needed. No pre-booking. Just turn up.
The programme also changes throughout the month, including Bachata on the third Wednesday and Rueda on the fourth Wednesday during the second class.
Hosted and taught each week by Lee and the LATINMania! team, with occasional guest teachers and DJs.
Alexander’s bar is open throughout the evening.
