About this Event
Come out to The Hill BMX on Tuesday, September 29, 2026 for a FREE "give-it-a-try" open house, especially for new riders, to learn about and get some on-track experience in the sport of BMX Racing. The event runs 6:00PM to 7:30PM.
During the event, your rider will get some basic instruction on BMX Racing and ride the track, under the supervision of our League coaches and volunteers. Parents will learn about how the League is structured, and have a no-pressure opportunity to sign up.
The Beginners-only Late Fall 2026 League season starts Tuesday, October 6 (6:00PM), and runs on the following schedule:
October 6 – 6:00PM to 8:00PM
October 7 – 6:00PM to 8:00PM
October 13 – 6:00PM to 8:00PM
October 14 – 6:00PM to 8:00PM
October 20 – 6:00PM to 8:00PM
BEDTIME FRIENDLY
During the League season, the schedule of events runs a little differently in the fall than it does in spring and summer, with Session One being all instruction, to prepare riders to race first on sessions two-five.
After racing (which should end around 7PM), families who need to dip-out in order to get home for early bedtimes can do that, and still earn their racing points.
Riders with later bedtimes can stick around for an instruction session after a 10-minute break after racing, til 8PM.
MORE ON THE FREE OPEN HOUSE EVENT
This event is the perfect opportunity to learn about the sport, and get in on an activity that is all-about fun, fitness and family. For more info on the League, or to enroll, visit our website.
The League is open to boys and girls 4-15 years, and moms, dads and grandparents of riders. A "Beginner" is someone who has never raced BMX outside of the League program.
Here's a rundown of how the event will be structured:
For Riders
Kids will enjoy a "roll-around" on the track, supervised by our league coach and on-track volunteers. This is an "appetizer portion" of the fun to be had in the League. Each League session also includes racing as part of the program.
For Parents
Watch from the stands, or grab your bike, air up the tires and join the fun with your kids. After a tour of the facility, we will give parents a briefing on how the League format works.
For the Whole Family
-A welcome message from League staff.
-Firsthand stories from BMX families on what the sport of BMX Racing has done for them.
-Group and personal Q&A time to answer all your questions.
What to Bring/What to Wear for Riders

*We have a limited number of loaner bikes and helmets, so if you do not have a bike or helmet of your own, please sign up and come out, and we will work it out.
