Come ride with us for a friendly, educational weekend on beautiful Los Peñasquitos Canyon Preserve trails. Whetheryou are new to Competitive Trail Riding or simply want a relaxed way to learn more with your horse, this event is designed to be welcoming, useful, and fun.
The weekend includes an educational clinic on Friday, November 6th, followed by two separate rides: one on Saturday
Nov 7th and one on Sunday Nov 8th. The clinic starts at 4:00 p.m. Friday. Each ride starts in the morning Saturday and
Sunday, covers about 10 miles, and is timed at about 3.5 mph, so most horses can complete it at a walk. Terrain includes
fire roads, single-track trails, and water crossings. You may enter Friday’s clinic, ride just one day on Saturday or Sunday,
ride both days, or attend all three events.
Learn to camp and care for your horse on the trail while also building a partnership with your equine companion. We are
a friendly, non-profit educational trail riding organization, and we love newcomers!
If you are new to Competitive Trail Riding, we invite you to come and learn about the sport that we love. Don’t let the
word “competition” keep you away. Our primary goal is to help you learn to be a better trail rider and keep your horse
sound and healthy on long rides.
