New Chamber Ballet continues its 2026-2027 season with the world premiere of Last Light, a new, full-length ballet by Miro Magloire to music by Wang Lu.
Featuring four works for solo piano (Recombinant Part 1, Lacuna, onward, wayward, and Rates of Extinction) alongside the violin solo Unbreathable Colors, Last Light immerses the dancers in Wang’s shimmering sound world.
The ballet will be performed in New Chamber Ballet’s signature in-the-round setting, with audiences seated just steps from the dancers and experiencing the choreography from every angle. As always at New Chamber Ballet, the music will be performed live.
Performers include the dancers Edie Clarke, Arianna Hughlett, Margaret Kingsbury, Kayla Schmitt, Anaka Weiss-Jones; as well as Doori Na (violin) and Sophiko Simsive (piano).

Last Light is commissioned by Works & Process, and created in part in a Works & Process residency at the Campus at Marlboro Music.
