About this Event
We all know death is a part of the human experience, but how often do we actually talk about it?
Join us on Thursday, October 29 from 6:00 - 7:30 pm at (Amesbury) for a night of fun, creativity, and thought-provoking conversations about death, mortality, and what it means to be human. Come grab a local beer or n/a bev, meet some new people, and explore a topic that we don't often make space for in everyday conversation.
Here's what to expect:
(1) Mingling with Fellow Mortals
- Grab a drink, a nametag, and settle in.
(2) Rotating Small Group Discussions
- The evening will include multiple rounds of conversation and connection. We’ll use to spark conversations ranging from the thoughtful and philosophical to the unexpected and even a little funny. There are no right answers, and you’re always welcome to pass.
(3) Make Your Own Headstone Magnet
- We’ll get creative and make our own little headstone magnet to hang on our fridge. You can write a short saying or epitaph that captures something about who you are or how you’d like to be remembered. You can also draw a traditional grave marker, a meaningful symbol, or an image that reflects your life, personality, passions, or sense of humor.
You won't want to miss this unique experience! Come with curiosity, leave with new perspectives.
Hosted by Sarah Gladstone - Death Doula of Human Condition Death Care
The event is free, with a suggested donation of $ 5 at the event for art supplies. Registration is required as spots are limited.
