Lara Ruggles is a Tucson-based songwriter whose music reflects a journey from rural Arizona roots to the Colorado folk scene and back again. After years performing and touring from Denver, she returned to Tucson in 2016, launching the electro-pop project Sharkk Heartt. Her latest record, Anchor Me, marks her first solo release in nine years, embracing vulnerability and intimate lyricism. Ruggles’ work spans electronic, folk, and jazz influences, shaped by her early experiences of isolation and her ongoing exploration of personal storytelling through music.
