Lake Georgetown – Cedar Breaks Walk & HikeDistance: About 2 miles round trip
Location: Cedar Breaks Park at Lake Georgetown
Address: 2100 Cedar Breaks Rd, Georgetown, TX 78628
Difficulty: Easy to moderate, depending on the section
Area: Hill Country and lake views, limestone terrain, wooded sections, and access to the Good Water Trail. It feels like a genuine hike and gives you a completely different setting from Brushy Creek.
Attire: Lightweight workout clothes and sturdy athletic or hiking shoes. I wouldn't recommend sandals.
Bring: Plenty of water, sunscreen, hat, sunglasses, bug spray, and ideally a small snack.
Timing: Early morning only right now because of the August heat. 7:00 or 7:30 AM would be appropriate.
Important: Parts of the trail can be rocky and uneven, so I would not advertise this one as “perfect for all fitness levels.” I'd call it easy-to-moderate and tell members to walk at their own pace.
