The charming, 3-Star Cumbria Grand Hotel is nestled within 20 acres of private, peaceful woodlands and gardens in the historic coastal town of Grange-over-Sands, with breath-taking, panoramic views of Morecambe Bay.
Monday 15th – Friday 19th March 2027
Day 1 Departing from our local area we journey to the historic Cumbria Grand Hotel, with suitable comfort breaks en route. On arrival, we have time to settle into our comfortable en-suite bedrooms and relax in the characterful Jacobean Bar, soaking up its warm, inviting atmosphere ahead of our evening meal.
Day 2 Following breakfast, we depart the hotel for a scenic tour of the Lake District from the warmth and comfort of our coach, complete with a packed lunch for you to enjoy. Admire the spectacular landscapes unfolding outside your window as we travel past shimmering lakes, ancient slate-stone walls, and peaceful woodlands. This season offers a truly unique landscape to explore, with late-winter snow dusting the dramatic fells and the first bright gold of wild daffodils awakening the valleys.
After our delightful day of sightseeing, we return to our hotel.
Day 3 Departing after breakfast, with a packed lunch, we journey to the magnificent Leighton Hall Estate for a guided tour of this historic family home and its renowned Gillow furniture collection. After enjoying the charms of the house, take a peaceful stroll through the beautiful nineteenth-century walled gardens, before boarding our coach for the scenic journey to the coastal town of Morecambe. Enjoy a leisurely stroll along the promenade to view the famous Eric Morecambe statue and soak up the stunning views across the sweeping bay, before returning to our hotel.
Day 4 After breakfast, we take a short drive to Lakeside Pier at Lake Windermere, for an enjoyable, relaxing cruise to Bowness across the tranquil waters, admiring the spectacular mountain views. On disembarking at Bowness Pier, enjoy a free afternoon at your leisure, explore the independent shops, relax in a traditional pub, or wander along the promenade, before re-joining the coach and returning to the hotel.
Day 4 After breakfast, we bid farewell to the Cumbria Grand Hotel, leaving with fond memories of our
scenic holiday. A packed lunch for your journey is provided, as we make our way home, with a suitable
stop en route before arriving approximately late afternoon.
