KATĖ ėmė ir atėjo iš noro laisvai eksperimentuoti ir mėgautis sintetinio ir gyvo skambesio sinteze bei skirtumais, neapsiribojant žanru, taisyklėmis ar apibrėžtu galutiniu tikslu. Vėliau nuspręsta išlysti iš kūrybinio sandėliuko, ir LAIMĘ NEŠTI smalsiems klausytojams, įdomiose, skirtingose atmosferose, tiesiog stebint, kur eksperimentas nuneš.

Vieno žmogaus - Pauliaus Balčyčio - muzikinis projektas, viešumoje egzistuojantis nuo 2021 m. Paulius tyrinėja įvairius žanrus nuo indietronikos ir lo-fi iki eksperimentinio roko, o naujausiame albume „Colour Cast“ (2025 m.) shoegaze‘ines gitarų tekstūras derina su noise pop melodijomis. Visad vadovaudamasis principu „pasidaryk pats“, y23b6 anksčiau yra išleidęs 4 minialbumus: „PSS-390“ (2021 m.), „sj1“ ir „sj2“ (2022 m.), bei „Sick Daze“ (2025 m.).

On Saturday, October 3, two bands/artists will take the stage at the EMMA social center. Expect an evening full of pulsing guitar sounds and synthetic machinations.

CAT came about from a desire to experiment freely and enjoy the synthesis and contrasts between synthetic and live sounds, without being limited by genre, rules, or a predefined end goal. Later, the decision was made to step out of the creative studio and BRING HAPPINESS to curious listeners in interesting, different atmospheres, simply observing where the experiment might lead.

This is a one-person (Paulius Balčytis) music project that has been active publicly since 2021. Paulius explores genres ranging from indietronica and lo-fi to experimental rock. His latest album, Colour Cast (2025), combines shoegaze guitar textures with noise pop melodies. Always adhering to DIY principles, y23b6 has also released four EPs: PSS-390 (2021), sj1 and sj2 (2022), and Sick Daze (2025).
