In conversation with Sahil Parmar.
The DYF invites you to a conversation with Sahil Parmar.
Join us for an evening of poetry, conversation, and the worlds that words create.
Sahil Parmar is a poet and a prominent voice in the Gujarati Dalit literary movement since the 1980s. Alongside his well known "report-poem" Ek Rakabi Footi (1991), he has published collections of poetry including Vyatha Pachisi (1984) and Mathaman (2006). His latest collection is Tal Bhatigal which was released last year. His poems give searing, unflinching expression to the lived realities of caste oppression, poverty, and social injustice.
