Lady From The Deep is an original one-woman play by David James, inspired by the iconic horror stories of Robert W Chambers and H P Lovecraft and performed by Jasmine James, a veteran of the Cheltenham theatre scene.On a stormy evening in 1930s Cumbria, playwright Cassilda welcomes you into her living room to perform excerpts from her latest work and share the inspiration behind it. Her creation draws on the folklore of the Cumbrian lakes and legends of an ancient and powerful presence sleeping beneath the water.
Although she’s enthusiastic and prone to over-sharing, as the wine flows and the clock approaches midnight, you may start to wonder if there’s something she’s not telling you…
