About this Event
The Betti Ono Foundation in Oakland, CA was founded as an art and community space that celebrates the culture of everyday people. Created in the traditions of the Black Arts Movement and the Black Panther Party, Betti Ono became a hub for statement-making art exhibitions, organizing, and youth empowerment. This is the inspirational story of how the Betti Ono Foundation began and how it continues to uplift artists imagining a better, more just world amid these perilous times.
