Join the master drummers of La Perla Bogotá--Roberta, Diana, and Karen--to study Colombian Rhythms (Cumbia, Chalupa, Gaita Corrida, Bullerengue Sentao, and Fandango de Lengua) on Colombian drums (the Alegre, Llamador, Tambora, and maracas).We will provide instruments, teaching materials, a vocabulary list, and a PAS Magazine article on The Women Drummers of Colombia, for those who register ahead of time.
$25/person. To register, message me here and I will contact you. We want no more than 10-12 people in each session.
There will be two sessions:
1 PM for beginners and intermediates, and
3 PM for experienced players (If you don't know the rhythms listed above, sign up for the 1 PM class.)
Each session will be one and a half hours long.
We will provide drums for the first ten people in each group who sign up, and you can bring your own as well.
