Free. Outdoors. Fresh. | Yerba Buena Gardens FestivalAs his band’s name suggests, Rafael Sarria Bustamante created LA GENTE SF as a vehicle to bring a cosmopolitan array of grooves to the people. Back in the Bay Area after several years in Madrid, the charismatic frontman has honed a dance-inducing Caribbean sound blending cumbia and reggae, salsa, hip-hop and reggaeton. LA GENTE SF’s fifth album, 2025’s Entre 2 Mundos, captures the group’s international spirit with music videos recorded and filmed in San Francisco, Colombia, Spain, Mexico and Morocco. Featuring Rafael Sarria Bustamante (lead vocals, guitar, percussion), Diana Rivera (vocals, percussion), Jordan Feinstein (keyboards, vocals), Jesse Weber (vocals, percussion), Patricio Angulo (drum kit, vocals) and Julio De La Cruz (electric bass, vocals) the sextet delivers politically conscious tunes designed to unite everyone in ecstatic movement.
