Join us in person for a fun intro to lino printing and create your own lino print! Session 1 of a series.About this Event
Ready to get creative? Join us for an intro to lino printing!
This is the first of a series of 3 workshops that will take you from the very beginning of understanding what lino printing is, learning about how to use the tools safely, the basic printing process, and you will be creating a single colour print using simple cutting techniques.
By the end of the workshop series you will have the skills to create a multi-colour print using more complex cutting and printing techniques.
Bring along some images for inspiration for your first print. We recommend this be a simple image, max A5 in size. We'll send out more instructions / information to people booked onto the event.
Our tutor for the event is Laura, a Birmingham based artist who uses the city as inspiration for her prints. She has been recreationally creating lino art for 6 years, and has been selling her prints at local arts markets and taking commissions for 1 year.
Ticket price includes all the materials and tools you'll need to cut and print your own lino print to take home.
The session is in The Harlequin's function room - there are no refreshments provided during the session, but drinks and food can be bought in the bar.
