We invite you to an artist talk with the artist and the curator behind “Adrián Villar Rojas. The End of Imagination”.
Villar Rojas’ exhibitions often unfold as dystopian, post-human worlds where human civilization has collapsed, and machines and plants have taken over. For the exhibition at the National Museum, Villar Rojas has created an entirely new setting for his works: the monumental sculptures from The End of Imagination series hover within light boxes in darkened halls, appearing like mysterious relics unearthed from an unknown future.
Created through a close collaboration between human and artificial intelligence, these works form speculative fictions about what lies beyond what we know as history. How does this collaboration shape our understanding of art itself? What does it mean to explore the intangible? And how might the imagined worlds that Villar Rojas’ works bring to life shed light on our own chaotic present? These are among the questions at the heart of the conversation.
The event will be held in English.
