Vienna Brass Connection LIVE – Taiwan Tour 2026
One moment. One breath. One sound.
The title of the program is the same as that of the new album: “Vienna Brass Connection LIVE.” Because the ensemble is convinced that this is exactly what we need right now as human beings: more live moments, more connection with one another, the chance to experience something real in the present moment.
With works by George Gershwin, Dmitri Shostakovich, John Williams and Erich Wolfgang Korngold, the ensemble unfolds its full energy.
The musicians of the Vienna Brass Connection are members of leading orchestras and ensembles (Wiener Philharmoniker, Wiener Staatsoper, Wiener Symphoniker, Wiener Volksoper, Radio-Symphonieorchester Wien, Tonkünstler-Orchester Niederösterreich, Mozarteumorchester Salzburg, Grazer Philharmoniker, WDR Symphonieorchester Köln and Bayerische Staatsoper).
Together, they form a powerhouse of sound filled with brilliance and emotion — virtuosity meets passion, precise technique meets pure joy of playing.
This concert is more than music — it is an experience that immediately captures the audience. Live, direct, unfiltered: the Vienna Brass Connection brings brilliance, intensity, pulsating rhythms and unforgettable moments to the stage.
When the flugelhorn sounds like a shy squirrel, when the trombones and trumpets slice the air with razor-sharp bursts and, in the next moment, gently soothe what they have just ignited; when horns are still allowed to carry their true character, when the tuba can fully be the tuba, when percussion is not reduced to mere punctuation, when two hours of music unfold that defy all expectations — music that moves through every state of being — then we are speaking of the Vienna Brass Connection. Wonderful pieces, sophisticated arrangements, intelligently led by Johannes Kafka and performed with excellence by every single musician of the ensemble. — Leonhard Paul, Mnozil Brass
