Alright, time for my annual Literary party held on Modresnacht (mother's night) official first night of yule. Over the decade or more I've been hosting this party the menu has changed, but the people and the meaning behind it has not. I hold this party firstly as a place for pagans offset from xtian families around this time of year to have a place to come and belong. secondly, its an annual get together of the people I care about. Everyone is welcome regardless of faith or politics... Now, Rules!
A Literary party is where you are inspired by a book, a show, a movie.. a pod cast.. and you recreate that item.. be it sweet or savory and bring it with you for everyone to enjoy. (if you're not that into cooking and still want to come.. a platter of cookies from walmart looks just as good.. lol.. it's the pleasure of your company that means the most to me 😉).
party starts early to try and accommodate everyone's time tables.. I have some very comfy couches downstairs and up.. for anyone who wishes to stay the night..
Weather permitting, the fire pit will be set up. Party staples will of course be there.. ie. Grinch Punch, Mexican hot cocoa, nutella pasties.. etc..
At this point I haven't picked the dish I will focus on for my item.. but here's my pintrest board so far.. get inspired!!! and "Come and know ye better man!"
