Knowle's magical evening is back for 2026!Taking place on THURSDAY 26th November, the Christmas Light Switch on is taking place on the same evening as the Late Night Shopping.
One of our favourite nights of the year, there's something special about the Knowle Christmas Light Switch-On. It’s a night where the whole village comes together. Little one's wait for Father Christmas while friends and neighbours catch up while keeping an eye out for Eric Lyons’ legendary sausage rolls all while the talented Ardennaires from Arden Academy get us in the festive spirit with tunes and carols.
Then just before Father Christmas arrives, we have the vicar’s traditional Christmas jokes before Father Christmas himself leads us with the countdown to the big switch on!
From 4:00pm, the festivities kick off with music and entertainment to set the perfect mood. All eyes then turn to Knowle Parish Church, where Father Christmas will lead the countdown to the grand light switch-on, joined by a few of the vicar’s iconic Christmas jokes!
Throughout the evening, there will be singing from local groups.
Music starts around 4:00pm
Vicar appearance around: 4:20pm
Father Christmas arrives (subject to how clear the skies are) around: 4:30pm
And then it's time for shopping & spending time with friends in Knowle. Visit our shops, salons and businesses who will be open late before rounding the evening off with drinks with friends at one of our cafe's or bars.
