About this Event
KNOW YOUR RIGHTS ON THE JOB-SITE: EMPOWERING WOMEN IN CONSTRUCTION
YOU BUILD THE INDUSTRY. BUT WHO IS PROTECTING YOU?
Your Wages. Your Safety. Your Dignity. Your Career.
Join Rhode Island Women in the Trades (RIWITT) alongside the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) – New York District Office, Rhode Island Commission for Human Rights, Rhode Island Department of Labor and Training (DLT), and Rhode Island Indian Council for a powerful, FREE educational event focused on protecting women and workers in construction.
Do you know your rights? Are you receiving fair wages? Can you recognize workplace harassment, discrimination, or retaliation? Do you know which government agency to contact when your rights are violated?
Hear from government agencies and industry advocates about workplace protections, prevailing wages, reporting violations, equal opportunity, and the resources available to construction workers.
Recruitment Opens Doors. Protection Builds Trust. Retention Builds Careers.
