In this workshop we will go over how a stocking is constructed and how to incorporate stranded colorwork into the stocking. We will be using the pattern for the Holiday 1 Doodle Stocking from Pacific Knit Co., which includes several different colorwork chart options (pattern is included with registration, and will be emailed to you prior to class). This stocking is constructed from the top down, starting with ribbing, and then adding colorwork charts. We will discuss alternative construction, choosing colors that will make your patterns pop, picking motifs for everyone on your list, and how to knit stranded colorwork 2 handed.After class students are encouraged to work at their own pace, then check back in during Fiber Circles to complete the next steps of the heel and toe.
