Spanning the joyful, driving energy of Eastern European klezmer and Balkan grooves to the deep-rooted local flavours of Cape jazz, Goema, and Klopse carnival brass, this double-header promises a high-energy fusion of infectious beats and acoustic power.
Hanepoot Brass Band brings an acoustic 8-piece setup blending New Orleans street parade brass with authentic South African Mbaqanga and Goema grooves. Led by local legends and stacked with veteran Cape Town talent, their sound lays down the soul and tradition of the Cape Minstrel soundscape.
Nomadic Orchestra takes the energy into overdrive. Known for their high-octane performances, the Nomads seamlessly weave Balkan beats, klezmer, ska, hip-hop, afrobeat and more into an irresistible invitation to dance.
