Join us at the Charles Theater on November 8th to watch Klara and the Sun, an adaptation of Kazuo Ishiguro’a novel of the same name. “Klara is an Artificial Friend, an advanced companion designed to keep children company. From her place in a store window, she watches the world around her with remarkable curiosity, waiting for the day she’ll be chosen by a customer.
When Klara finally gets a home of her own, she begins to discover that the people she encounters—and the world she thought she understood—are far more complicated than they first appeared.”
I won’t be able to finalize the showtime until closer to the movie date, so check back for the final details! We’ll meet up in the lobby ~20 min before showtime to grab popcorn and discuss our thoughts on the book and expectations for the movie. Afterwards, we’ll have a follow up discussion in the lobby and then for anyone wanting a longer discussion or to just hang out, we’ll head to a bar in the area 😊
