Avec son indie rock postmoderne teinté d’ironie et de sarcasme, Kiwi Jr. chronique les absurdités de la vie urbaine contemporaine et l’équilibre impossible entre travail et création. Originaire de Toronto, le groupe développe un univers décalé et désinvolte, entre mélodies accrocheuses et regard acéré sur le quotidien.
Après avoir tourné dans treize pays et partagé l’affiche avec Pavement, The Walkmen ou encore Dinosaur Jr., Kiwi Jr. prépare actuellement un quatrième album et rejoint le label K Records.

Met satire en sarcasme werpen ze een kritische blik op de realiteit van het laatkapitalistische stadsleven en de onmogelijkheid om werk en kunst in evenwicht te brengen in een metropool met torenhoge huurprijzen. Kiwi Jr. uit Toronto heeft een geheel eigen, droogkomische postmoderne indierockstijl ontwikkeld.
Ze hebben in 13 landen getoerd en stonden in het voorprogramma van bands als Pavement, The Walkmen, Dinosaur Jr, Guided By Voices en anderen. Ze werken momenteel aan hun vierde album en hebben een contract getekend bij het label K Records uit Olympia, Washington (Sharp Pins, Beat Happening, enz.).
