CLASS DESCRIPTION:
Dust off your favorite cauldron mug and channel your inner Practical Magic Owens sister because Tarot Girl Era is inviting you to an evening of candle magic, where kitchen-table sorcery meets old-world charm.
Our team will walk you through the magic of color and botanical properties — the same kind of lore that's been passed down through generations.
What we'll conjure up together:
- How to set up your candle magic spell with proper (and pinky-promise safe) fire tools
- The secret language of color, and how to pick the perfect candle for your intention
- Which herbs, botanicals, and ingredients to stir into your spellwork
- How to read the signs in wax, flame, and smoke, like tea leaves for the modern witch
We'll demo the craft together, then set you loose to cast a spell of your own choosing: for luck, love, fortune, release, or protection.
Your ticket covers everything you need: candles, fire-safe stainless steel pans, and spell ingredients. You'll leave with your very own pan, plus instructional printouts and memos to keep the magic going long after the last candle flickers out. Tickets also cover chai and non-caffeinated tea delivered from Teaism.

Phim Her is the founder of Tarot Girl Era, a community-centered healing practice based out of the DMV. Her tarot readings, sound baths and reiki sessions have been featured by The Washingtonian, Meta, Capital One, Friends to Lovers Bookstore and Shop Made in DC.
