About this Event
The event will be held in the ballroom at Tea By The Lock. Those who come to the workshop will be welcome to buy refreshements at the lovely tearoom in the same location.
If you have some experience in drawing and painting, this is a fun way to try new techniques and experiment, but if you are a beginner, it's a great way to dive in and have a go in a pressure-free environment.
The workshop is run by an experienced local artist, and is the perfect opportunity to enjoy experimenting using some unusual, but common items from the kitchen cupboard, such as tea, coffee, salt, scourers, cutlery, coffee stirrers, chopsticks, tea-strainers and more!
I will be showing some examples as inspiration, and giving a demonstration of how some of the ingredients and items can be used to create effects which are useful in abstract art, or figurative art (art that looks like something you can see), and then you will be able to experiment and create your own artworks in a style you prefer.
Tea By The Lock is a fantastic venue, and the location itself offers a relaxed atmosphere, large windows with a lovely light, is dog-friendly, and close to both a bus stop and the lock carpark. It is past the caravan park, down the track through the gate, and to the right, by the Lock.
