About this Event
This month we are thrilled to present historical romance author Meredith Duran and Mara Williams in conversation with host Rebecca Hunter.
Meredith Duran blames Anne Boleyn for her lifelong fascination with British history. At thirteen years old, she made a list of life goals that included writing romance novels, trying sushi, and traveling to London to see Holbein's portraits of the Tudor court. Having checked off those items many times over, she’s making a new list. So far, it includes finding the courage to steek a sweater, deadlifting twice her body weight, hearing the northern lights (yes, hearing!), and finishing That Manuscript, plus sundry other items.
Mara Williams is the author of The Truth Is in the Detours and The Epicenter of Forever. She drafted her first novel in third grade on a spiral notebook—a love story about a golden retriever and the stray dog who admired her from beyond the picket fence. Now she writes about strong, messy women finding their way in the world. When not writing or reading, Mara can be found enjoying California’s beaches, redwoods, and trails with her husband, three kids, and disobedient dog.
