About this Event
Kinusaiga: No-Sew Fabric Art
Discover Kinusaiga, a traditional Japanese textile technique that turns fabric scraps into intricate works of art, without sewing.
No experience required ! No sewing!
In this hands-on workshop, you'll learn how to repurpose fabric remnants and give them new life through a simple no-sew quilting technique. Together, we'll explore how discarded and leftover textiles can become something beautiful, functional, and meaningful instead of ending up in the waste stream.
Beyond the craft itself, Kinusaiga offers an opportunity to reflect on reuse, resourcefulness, and the value of what we already have. As we create alongside one another, we'll explore how small acts of repurposing can contribute to a more sustainable and connected community.
Perfect for:
• Beginners looking for a guided, relaxing craft project (no experience needed!)
• Eco-conscious crafters who want to reduce textile waste
• Anyone making a meaningful, sustainable handmade gift
• Those celebrating birthdays, graduations, holidays, or milestones
• Crafters who love handmade details

CraftedByT Studio is a San Diego creative healing hub and fashion brand rooted in the belief that working with your hands can help you slow down, reconnect with yourself, and rediscover play. Our beginner-friendly crafting workshops invite you to pause, explore, and make without the pressure of perfection. Each class goes beyond the craft, with a tea meditation and a Creative Process Journal to encourage mindfulness, self-expression, and reflection. Whether you're navigating a life transition, looking for stress relief, or simply making room for joy, the patience and presence you practice here follow you into daily life.
Sustainability is woven into how we teach. In our sustainable crafting classes, you'll use scrap yarn, leftover fabric, and upcycled materials, learning to see new possibility in what already exists. You'll leave with a handmade piece, new crochet and textile skills, and the confidence to make with more intention.
Here, the process matters as much as the result. Our small-group workshops are a space to experiment, connect, and discover what making means to you. While our approach supports creative well-being, our classes are not a substitute for professional therapy or medical care.
