Slow down, get creative, and discover the beautiful Japanese-inspired art of Kinusaiga — a unique fabric art technique that creates intricate, textured designs without any sewing!
In this beginner-friendly workshop, you’ll create your own 8" × 8" framed fabric artwork, choosing from a variety of fabrics and several beautiful templates to make a piece that feels uniquely yours. You’ll be guided through the process step-by-step, so no previous art or crafting experience is needed. This is a forgiving, beginner-friendly craft.
Your evening includes:
- Your own 8" × 8" framed artwork to take home
- Lots of fabrics to choose from so you can personalize your piece
- A selection of templates to choose from
- All materials and step-by-step instructions
- No sewing required!
- Tea and a non-alcoholic beverage
- Light refreshments

Located in The Granary Building.
Free parking is available on the side of the building.
Please use the back entrance: From Lent Lane, go to the rear of the building and up the deck stairs to the very top. Enter through the door, and you’ll see the Gooseberry Studios sign.
Unfortunately, the building is not wheelchair accessible and requires participants to make it up a flight of stairs. We apologize for this.
