Discover the art of finding beauty in imperfection with this hands-on Kintsugi Style Pottery Repair Workshop at the Museum of Royal Worcester.Inspired by the traditional Japanese practice of repairing broken ceramics, this workshop explores a modern Kintsugi-style technique that celebrates cracks and repairs as part of an object’s history. Under expert guidance, you will learn the skills needed to transform broken pottery into a unique decorative piece.
Participants are invited to bring a damaged ceramic item from home to repair, or alternatively may select from materials provided by the Museum.* Before beginning your final project, you will have the opportunity to practise the techniques on sample materials, helping you build confidence and familiarity with the process.
At the end of the workshop, you will take home either your repaired pottery piece or two decorative Kintsugi-style coasters.**
