Joe Marner
Joe is a designer and maker of sounds based in rotterdam, netherlands. he uses any object he can find around the house and in thrift stores to create sonic environments that leave the audience questioning their own comfortability, thoughts and feelings. with these sounds, he merges them over his own field recordings and found audio deep in the archives. recently, however, he has become interested in creating his own instruments out of scrap metal and electronics.

Asli Nur
I wrote love songs then switched to writing hardware codes for aircraft then switched to dancing with doors by turning their movement into sound. I contradict myself. I write diaries in different formats (mp3, jpeg, pdf, dance). Now I'm working to pop a collection of songs about immortality. Also, I might still dance with a door if I find a good one!

Card board Lamb
Cara Mayer is Cardboard Lamb. As a DJ, she cares about narrative radio – mixing ambient, experimental electronics, and various iterations of wave and folk with film clips, field recordings, and poetry along a chosen theme. She is a resident at Mutant Radio in Tbilisi with a bi-monthly show exploring Italo Calvino’s Invisible Cities, as well as a student studying the sonics, poetics, and politics of spaces at Sandberg’s Studio for Immediate Spaces. Outside of DJing, Cara is a monthly music programmer at Radio Tempo Não Pàra, and has worked as a music journalist, studio host, writer, and radio-maker for Pinkman Records, Operator, Future Intel and Radio WORM.
Recommended for fans of...
discordant folk and narrative soundscapes, water flutes in the shape of a bird, sad DJs with a sense of humour, your upstairs neighbour who practises the saxophone each night.

A brand new listening series for the music and sound lovers of Amsterdam. Kino for your Ears takes place in the Ventilator Cinema on the second floor of the OT301, probably the most comfortable space there is to host listening sessions catering to experimental music lovers. As you no longer have to stand in cold venues while listening to minimal ambient music, while your legs are cramping, and your back is sore.
Each session is hosted with a separate theme, whether that theme is Noise, Ambient, field recordings or more relevant to the method of creating, such as live coding, modular synths, etc. The idea of these listening sessions is to be both a learning/sharing space along with a concert space. In the future, this series will also host performance lectures by different instrument makers, modular enthusiasts, and live workshops by live coders. Stay tuned for it.
The first session will be held on April 24th, so mark your calendars for an ambient Wednesday evening delight.
