Rock Steady reggae got soulKING TIDE. STILL AT IT.
Four albums in. Played every major festival in the country at least once. Probably twice. Leased tracks to the UK and Japan, which sounds more glamorous than it is.
We've been called "rock steady reggae royalty" by people who know what that means, and "one of the best live acts in the country" by people who've seen far too many live acts.
Jamaican music is our compass. Not always our destination.
Switched-on people have said things like this. Some time ago, admittedly.
"There is much to marvel at" — Brett Winterford, Sydney Morning Herald (we're still not sure exactly what)
"Infectious melody welded to sinuous rock-steady dance rhythms" — Anthony O'Grady, The Australian (took us three albums to understand that sentence)
"You know you are in safe rock steady hands" — Martin Jones, Rhythm Magazine (our hands are fine, thanks for asking)
"Simply... 𝐊𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐓𝐢𝐝𝐞 is one of the best live acts in this country" — Paul Busch, Faster Louder (he's written it before. We keep making him)
"A wonderful reason to seek this band out in the flesh" — Niel Kerrigan, MX Mag ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Come seek us out in the flesh.
