Holy DaysKinema in the Woods with a 2 – Course Carvery Lunch
Friday 13th November 2026
Join us for the day as we journey to the outskirts of Lincoln and enjoy a 2-course lunch, before our visit to the Kinema in the Woods to see Holy Days.
Set against the vibrant backdrop of 1974 New Zealand, Holy Days follows Brian, a spirited young boy searching for his place in the world. Looking for answers and a sense of belonging, Brian forms a surprising friendship with three eccentric, fast-driving, and fiercely independent elderly nuns.
When the sisters discover that greedy property developers are threatening to demolish their beloved, decaying convent, they refuse to go down without a fight. Stealing a car and taking Brian along for the ride, this unconventional crew hits the open road. Their high-stakes mission? To outrun the developers, save their home, and track down a sacred, legendary mountain peak. What follows is a hilarious, high-speed, and deeply moving journey filled with breakdown hazards, spiritual revelations, and a lot of heart.
Holy Days is a joyful comedy packed with heart, humour, and high-speed hijinks, starring Judy Davis (The Dressmaker), Miriam Margolyes (Harry Potter/Call the Midwife), Jacki Weaver (Silver Linings Playbook) and newcomer Elijah Tamati as the young boy, Brian
It’s a story about letting go, holding on, and finding home in the most unexpected places.
