Spanning generations, from colonial Jamaica to present-day Harlem, These Ghosts Are Family explores the legacies of slavery, migration, family secrets, lost love, and the search for identity. It asks us to consider how much of who we are is shaped by the choices of those who came before us—and whether we can ever truly escape our family’s ghosts.
