For the aesthetically curious and textile forward bondage enthusiast. Ribbon is a unique medium to use for bondage and presents its own set of pros and cons much like we think of the differences between jute and nylon. Several cultural and counter-cultural trends over the last several years have made ribbon bondage a fairly mainstream aesthetic. There will be a brief introduction to the trend and reasons we may practice this style of bondage as well as an invitation to reflect on your own intentions in this class and practice. For the practical portion, this class will cover the basics of ribbons (size, texture, materials), their interactions with the body, and how to choose the ribbon that’s right for your scene. After that, we’ll go over how ribbon differs from traditional bondage methods like rope and techniques for wrapping, frictions, and tying off. We’ll finish off with a mini workshop on How to Tie a Perfect Bow and hopefully inspire some scene ideas with a short demo and time for experimentation.breezypeezy (she/her) is your resident lesbian, submissive, bottom-leaning switch, artist, figure model, and BDSM educator with about 6 years of experience in the public kink scene. She has broad experience in a number of kinks and fetishes that often fall into the category of edge play—CNC, rope suspension, fisting—and has a particular passion for bondage with a special place in her world for rope bondage and the connection between partners practicing it. She is eager to share her experience and gained knowledge with others, especially queer and kinky folx. To this end, she has been educating in the local and national scenes for about a year. Breezy is looking forward to building up a strong common knowledge base in the local and national scenes centering queer viewpoints and wisdom.
