From age 8 - 17 – only 6 places available at The Functional Foodie Cookery School near St Mellion in S.E. Cornwall.One of the biggest gifts you can give your child is the ability to cook economically, deliciously and confidently from scratch.
Jump In begins this term with sessions that teach a range of skills, dishes and food knowledge, building into a comprehensive education over the term, and the year, in what and how to cook healthily and deliciously, for life. Nutrition and healthy eating are naturally part of the instruction.
Treats and Eats –
In this session, young chefs will learn how to make nutrient-packed snacks and puddings that will balance blood sugar, actively nourish body and brain, keep them full of energy and provide nutrients while feeding their need to nibble! They will learn to make sweet and savoury dips using yogurt, herbs, spices and chocolate, a chocolate bark with fruit and seeds, a fruit syllabub, and carrot and oat cookies.
They will learn how to understand food and nutrition, how to measure and mix, how to create tasty snacks with healthy ingredients.
