About this Event
Somewhere between school and now, you stopped playing. Not unwinding. Not watching something. Actually playing, badly, out loud, in a room with other people.
This is two hours of that.
WHAT WE ACTUALLY DO
It changes every month and it runs back to back, so there is never a moment where you are standing about wondering who to talk to. Expect some of these:
Lemon and spoon races the length of the cafe
Musical chairs, played by adults, taken far too seriously
Charades and Pictionary
UNO and Jenga
Human bingo, where you have to find the person who has broken a bone
Paper aeroplane distance championship
Minute-to-win-it rounds
Memory games and team challenges
A few things we are not telling you about
HOW IT WORKS
Come on your own. Genuinely. We put everyone into teams, so within one game you are already shouting encouragement at somebody you met eleven minutes ago. It is the fastest way anyone has ever made a friend.
Sixteen people and no more, so everyone actually plays.
PLEASE ARRIVE AT 6:40
Twenty minutes before we start, so we can sort teams and begin on time. If you turn up at 7:05 you will have missed the part that makes it work.
THE DRAW
There is a surprise draw at the end of the night. We are not telling you what it is.
WHAT IT COSTS
$20, with $5 of it back as cafe credit for the night. The chaat counter stays open, so there is food and drink throughout.
