($45-$55 + Ticket Fees | 6:30pm & 8:30pm Shows) GRAMMY®-nominated trumpeter, vocalist, composer, and producer Keyon Harrold has emerged as one of the defining voices in contemporary jazz, creating music that seamlessly bridges jazz, soul, hip-hop, Afrobeat, blues, and R&B. Heralded by Wynton Marsalis as "the future of the trumpet," Harrold first gained international acclaim as the trumpet voice behind Don Cheadle's GRAMMY® Award-winning film Miles Ahead. His acclaimed recordings, including The Mugician and the GRAMMY®-nominated Foreverland, showcase an artist whose warm, unmistakable trumpet sound and emotionally charged compositions continue to expand the possibilities of modern jazz.
Equally at home leading his own band or collaborating with artists across musical genres, Harrold has worked with everyone from Robert Glasper, Common, PJ Morton, and Laura Mvula to Jay-Z, Beyoncé, Rihanna, Snoop Dogg, Keith Richards, and Diana Ross. His performances are rooted in jazz while drawing naturally from the broader spectrum of Black American music, creating concerts that are adventurous, soulful, and deeply personal. At The Century Room, audiences can expect a band that moves effortlessly between powerful improvisation, infectious grooves, and lyrical storytelling—an intimate performance from one of today's most compelling and forward-looking trumpeters.
