About this Event
Calling all creatives! Join Hackney-based artist and qualified teacher Kelly Sweeney for a mask-making workshop where we will be working with Kinska inspired mark-making to create an imaginary persona.
Influenced by exhibiting artist Kinska, participants will be encouraged to explore their own imaginary narrative and characters to bring a shapeshifting mask into existence.
Expect a dynamic 1.5hr session that will welcome all abilities and ages. This is an inclusive experience for everyone to access making as a way of discovery and experimentation. With a wealth of experience delivering art education and creative engagement, this will be a supported activity with bags of artistic freedom to play. The full spectrum of young people are welcome.
All materials are provided. Work will be dry and ready to take away with you on the day. We look forward to seeing you and your creations in response to our forthcoming exhibition that can also be experienced before or after the workshop.
First session: 11:00 am – 12:30 pm
Second session: 1:00 pm – 2:30 pm
