Originally from Phoenix and now based in New York City, Kelli Baker has spent the last several years building her career the old-fashioned way: relentless touring, honest songwriting, and a commanding live show that has become her signature.
Blending rock, soul, blues, funk and Americana with a voice that can move from a whisper to a roar, Baker has carved out a sound and presence distinctly her own. She has shared stages with ZZ Top, George Thorogood, Christone “Kingfish” Ingram, Samantha Fish, Ally Venable, Mike Zito and Albert Castiglia, while becoming a familiar face on club and festival stages across the country.
Her live résumé continues to grow, from multiple sold-out appearances at Jamey’s House of Music outside Philadelphia to House of Blues Chicago, Great South Bay Music Festival, Sturgis and a growing run of appearances throughout the Midwest and Northeast. She has also become an annual special guest at the Paxico Blues Festival in Kansas after previously headlining the event. Baker’s rise has been backed by recognition including a No. 1 Roots Music Report single with “Dr. Feelgood,” a 2024 win at the 615 Blues Revival, and representation of the Long Island/Brooklyn/Queens region at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis.
Now, Baker is entering her biggest chapter yet withMOTHER, her forthcoming album for Gulf Coast Records.

Produced by Zach Allen, whose credits include Buddy Guy, Keb’ Mo’, Christone “Kingfish” Ingram and TajMo,MOTHERis the album Baker has been writing toward for years. As Baker puts it,“There’s no control, really. It comes to me as something that has to be said.”
Acclaimed keyboardist Peter Levin, whose credits include Gregg Allman, Bonnie Raitt, The Highwomen and Dolly Parton, plays throughoutMOTHER, becoming an integral part of the record’s sound. GRAMMY-winning blues icon Keb’ Mo’ joins Baker on “American Running,” while “Hymn” features the legendary McCrary Sisters and their unmistakable gospel harmonies.
The record is brought to life by Baker’s longtime New York band: Noé Socha on lead guitar and harmonica, PJ LaMariana on bass, and Tom Curiano on drums. Together, they’ve developed the chemistry, musicianship and raw energy that have made Baker’s live performances the foundation of her career.
