Minnesota songwriter Kelley Smith is a wallflower who fancies old poetry and grandpa sweaters. All at once whimsical and haunting, Smith delivers deeply affecting lyrics with wry charm and a time traveler's voice. Prone to melancholy and daydreaming, Kelley spent her childhood roaming the woods of the north country. To this day, her longing for that landscape runs deep and seems to find its way into her songs in one way or another. Mikkel Bee has been accompanying acoustic Mn musicians for almost 30 years and has been described by Grammy-winning guitarist Pat Donohue as a ‘tasteful washboard player’.
When not performing, he finds himself drinking coffee, playing outside and listening to music.
The All Saints community hosts the 3rd Saturday music series. It is a completely acoustic experience in a beautiful sanctuary.
The suggested entry fee is $15-$20 (cash or check only). If this is a stretch, then pay-what-you-can. If folks can pay-it-forward for others we appreciate it! All proceeds go to the musicians so please help to compensate them generously. Complimentary
coffee, tea and light snacks are on us. Parking is on the street.
