About this Event
Rhyme, rhythm and the odd rude bit in the best of Liverpool’s lyrical traditions ...
Well-known for his biting humour, astute observations and heavily rhythmic delivery, Keith will read from his new book and include a short 'greatest hits' set from previous publications (Irritable Vowel Syndrome, Bumfuzzle and Unobtainium) followed by an informal chat with legendary broadcaster Billy Butler and writer, publisher and former Head of Special Projects at Marvel Comics Tim Quinn.
'Fab. Our Keith tells it like it is ... and it is like he tells it'
Mike McCartney
Born in Kensington, Liverpool, Keith belongs to a storied lineage of music hall artistes, theatre managers and puppeteers. He has worked extensively across the UK and Europe as a writer and poet, musician, actor, theatre-maker and television presenter. His words and music have featured on film, radio and television in the UK, Ireland, Canada and the USA. He continues to work for all of the major broadcasters, has twice been nominated for a Royal Television Society Award and has been a member of the legendary performance group SCAFFOLD since 2007.
'Having been brought up on the Liverpool poets of the 60’s and 70’s, Keith has clearly picked up the mantle and run with it. His acerbic and clever use of words is both hilarious and thought-provoking. An absolute joy to read AND perform!'
Ian Puleston-Davies
