Welcome to our non-fiction book club! We meet in our cafe on the second Wednesday every month to talk about the latest and greatest in non-fiction, including titles in nature, history, art, politics, popular-science, biography, gender studies, travel, and the list goes on!
Our October pick is The Finest Hotel in Kabul by Lyse Doucet. Through the story of Kabul's Inter-Continental Hotel, established in 1969, this captivating book from the BBC's Chief International Correspondent traces five decades of Afghanistan's dramatic recent history, offering a deeply humane window into the life of ordinary Afghans.
