Join songwriter and artist KASHIN | 家倩 for an intimate evening celebrating the release of her new single, 𝘜𝘯𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘮𝘪𝘴𝘦𝘥 𝘓𝘢𝘯𝘥 ✨Inspired by her parents’ refugee journey, 𝘜𝘯𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘮𝘪𝘴𝘦𝘥 𝘓𝘢𝘯𝘥 explores the complicated realities of migration and displacement. The song examines the discrepancy between the promise of a new beginning and the lived experience of arriving in a country where newcomers are often expected to assimilate, remain grateful, and stay silent.
Moving beyond a personal family story, the song engages with broader questions of migration and identity, asking who gets to define what it means to belong.
The evening will feature a live performance of 𝘜𝘯𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘮𝘪𝘴𝘦𝘥 𝘓𝘢𝘯𝘥 and other songs from KASHIN’s growing body of work, followed by a moderated conversation about the ideas and creative process behind the music, with plenty of opportunity for audience questions.
Guests will also be invited to enjoy a selection of appetizers and spend time connecting with one another before and after the performance.
Come for an intimate evening of music and storytelling as KASHIN brings the world of 𝘜𝘯𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘮𝘪𝘴𝘦𝘥 𝘓𝘢𝘯𝘥 to life 🖤
