Building on the sustained momentum of our seasonal initiatives, the Dashrath Putra Foundation (DPF) and Radhey Sewa – The Street Defenders announce Kashi Sewa Drive 4.0 in the eternal City of Light. On 31 October 2026, as autumn sets across the sacred geography of Varanasi, we invite youth, civic volunteers, working professionals, and pilgrims to assemble near the sanctum of the Kashi Vishwanath Jyotirlinga for a concentrated six-hour drive of on-ground public service.
Kashi Sewa Drive 4.0 advances our guiding principle: "Bhakti is Shakti, Sewa is Kartavya"
(Devotion is Strength, Service is Duty). Devotion to Mahadev finds its highest practical expression when directed toward preserving His heritage, sustaining the environment, and tending to the living beings that inhabit this sacred land.
⚔️ Core Operations across the 4 Pillars of Impact
Our operational teams are deployed systematically across four dedicated wings:
Animal Sewa – The Street Defenders Frontline
- Evening Feeding Operations: Providing fresh, nutritionally balanced food to stray dogs, community cows (Gau Mata), and temple-side fauna across high-traffic ghat alleys and outer corridors.
- On-Spot First Aid & Medical Dressing: Mobile kits equipped for antiseptic wash, maggot debridement, topical pain relief, and emergency hydration.
- Stray Protection & Identification: Mapping vulnerable animals along regular pilgrim routes for ongoing community care, winter prep, and local foster outreach.
🛕 Sanatan Sewa – Safeguarding Sacred Heritage
- Swachh Mandir & Corridor Abhiyan: Targeted cleanup operations focused on access alleys, smaller peripheral shrines, and parikrama routes surrounding the Jyotirlinga.
- Sadhu-Sant & Sevak Outreach: Distributing nutritional rations, hygiene essentials, and personal care supplies to resident ascetics, elders, and temple maintenance staff.
- Cultural Decorum & Heritage Stewardship: Fostering awareness among incoming pilgrims regarding the sanctity, cleanliness, and civilizational history of Kashi Vishwanath.
👥 Human Sewa – Citizen Assistance & Modern Skill Sharing
- Pilgrim & Elder Support Teams: Offering mobility support, basic hydration, and crowd navigation for senior citizens and differently-abled pilgrims.
- Welfare for Daily-Wage Workers: Distributing hydration and energy packs to boatmen, porters, and street vendors operating during peak evening rush.
- Digital & AI Literacy Desk: Setting up on-ground volunteer stations to assist small vendors and local youth with digital payment troubleshooting, cyber safety, and basic digital tool adoption.
🌱 Nature Sewa – Ecological Stewardship of Mother Ganga
- Plastic Interception Drives: Collecting non-biodegradable waste along access stairs and bank approaches before it enters the Ganga.
- Ritual Waste Segregation: Separating floral and organic temple offerings from synthetic packaging and plastic wraps at high-footfall ghats.
- Eco-Pilgrimage Advocacy: Educating devotees and local shop owners on adopting biodegradable offerings and reducing single-use plastics.

🛡️ Operational Timeline (Evening Shift)
- 16:00 – 16:30: Volunteer check-in, distribution of field kits, safety briefing, and sector division (Ghat, Temple Alley, Pilgrim Desk).
- 16:30 – 18:30: Deployment of Animal Sewa feeding/medication teams and Sanatan Sewa cleanup crews.
- 18:30 – 19:30: Peak Ganga Aarti support—crowd assistance for the elderly, waste segregation, and perimeter management.
- 19:30 – 21:00: Extended human welfare outreach, vendor tech support desks, and second-phase feeding routes.
- 21:00 – 22:00: Sector debriefing, operational logging, disposal handoff to local civic authorities, and concluding pledge.
