Inspired by the incredible jazz performances in Robert Altman’s 1996 film Kansas City, we’re putting together a special night exploring the hard-swinging, blues-soaked sound of 1930s Kansas City — while keeping plenty of the traditional New Orleans jazz that defines Bishop Avenue Hot Six.And this time, we’re clearing some room for the dancers.
