Kambo is a sacred medicine from the Amazon rainforest, traditionally used by the Matsés and other indigenous tribes for purification, strength, and spiritual protection. Known as the “vaccine of the forest,” it is derived from the secretion of the Phyllomedusa bicolor tree frog — an animal deeply respected by the tribes for its healing spirit.

For centuries, Kambo has been used to cleanse the body of toxins, boost vitality, sharpen the senses and clear energetic blockages before hunting or spiritual ceremony. Today, this powerful medicine continues to support people around the world in releasing stored emotions, reconnecting with their intuition, and realigning body, mind and spirit.

Info: We begin by creating a calm and sacred space, cleansing the area and our energy before settling into a grounding meditation. This is a time to connect deeply with your intention.

You’ll then drink around 1.5 litres of filtered water or manioc (a traditional cassava drink that helps absorb toxins as they leave the body).

Kambo is applied to small points on the skin, usually near the lymph nodes. For your first ceremony, the medicine is typically placed on the arm or leg, and we will decide together on the day. In future sessions, other placement points can be explored, such as the back, shoulders, or chakra areas, depending on your journey.

A small stick is used to gently burn the very top layer of skin, creating the “gates” through which Kambo enters the body. The number of points varies depending on each person’s age, health, and energy often between 3 and 9 for a first session. These small marks fade over time, usually disappearing completely within 6 months.

Info: Within a few minutes of applying the Kambo, you’ll begin to feel its energy move through your body. You may notice warmth rising, a quickening heartbeat, or tingling sensations as the medicine begins to cleanse the system.
Your practitioner will guide you to focus on your breath, helping you stay calm and connected as the process unfolds. This stage is deeply purifying the Kambo works to release toxins, emotional blockages, and stagnant energy held in the body.
Purging can take many forms, sometimes physical (vomiting, sweating, or yawning), sometimes emotional (crying, shaking, laughing, or deep release). This is the body’s natural way of letting go. The discomfort you may feel isn’t from the medicine itself, but from what it is helping you release.
Through this process, Kambo opens the body, mind, and spirit, clearing heaviness and restoring clarity, strength, and balance.

Info: As the medicine’s effects soften, the body begins to cool and the energy settles. The whole process typically lasts around 20–40 minutes, though the most intense part usually lasts just 5–15 minutes.

Afterwards, you may feel light, peaceful, and deeply relaxed. The entry points are sealed with Dragon’s Blood, a natural Peruvian tree sap that protects and heals the skin. Please allow the sap to remain undisturbed — it will naturally fall away as the area heals. Over time, the tiny marks will fade; many see them as symbols of healing and transformation.

You may feel Kambo continuing to work in subtle ways throughout the day — cleansing, grounding, and energising. It’s best to rest, stay hydrated, and allow yourself to integrate gently. Most people notice a profound sense of clarity, vitality, and emotional balance in the days that follow.

Info: Drink plenty of water and electrolytes, rest, and give yourself space to simply be. The following day, you’ll likely feel lighter, more focused, and deeply renewed ready to step forward with a clearer mind and an open heart.
