Kambo: A Sacred Cleansing Ceremony

A sacred cleansing experience for prayer, release, reflection, and renewal, held with preparation, reverence, and care.
About this Event

There are seasons when the body asks for stillness, the spirit asks for prayer, and the heart knows it is time to release what no longer feels aligned.

This ceremony is for those who feel called to sit with Kambo in a sacred, intentional, and carefully held container. It is not a casual gathering, and it is not offered as a medical treatment. It is a ceremonial experience rooted in preparation, reverence, personal responsibility, prayer, rest, and integration.

Kambo is the sacred secretion of the Phyllomedusa bicolor, also known as the Giant Monkey Tree Frog, found in the Amazon rainforest. In traditional ceremonial contexts, Kambo has been approached as a purification practice. At Temple Mother Earth, this offering is held with deep respect for the medicine, clear preparation, required intake review, and careful facilitation.

This ceremony is facilitated by King James, co-founder of Temple Mother Earth and an experienced Kambo practitioner. His approach is grounded, prayerful, and screening-focused, with each participant required to complete a Sacred Intake Form before participating.

What This Experience Is

This is a small-group Kambo ceremony held in a sacred sanctuary setting.

Before attending, each participant must complete a Sacred Intake Form. This allows the facilitator to review health history, preparation needs, and possible contraindications. Participation may not be appropriate for everyone, and registration does not guarantee final participation if intake review shows this experience is not aligned or appropriate.

During the ceremony, small points are applied to the skin and Kambo is administered by the facilitator. Participants generally remain conscious and aware during the experience. The active portion may bring a strong physical response, followed by rest, quiet, hydration guidance, reflection, and integration.

This offering is spiritual and ceremonial in nature. It is not medical care, medical treatment, diagnosis, or therapy, and it does not replace professional medical advice.

Experience Flow

Arrival & Grounding

Guests are welcomed into the Temple Mother Earth sanctuary and given time to arrive slowly. This is a moment to settle, breathe, and transition from the outside world into sacred space.

Preparation & Intake Review

Before ceremony begins, the facilitator reviews key preparation details and confirms that each participant has completed the Sacred Intake Form. Health history, contraindications, hydration guidance, and ceremony expectations are reviewed with care.

Opening Circle

The group gathers in circle for prayer, intention, and grounding. This opens the ceremonial container and invites each person to enter the experience with humility, awareness, and respect.

The Kambo Ceremony

Kambo is administered by King James in a careful and intentional way. Participants are supported throughout the active portion of the ceremony, which may include strong physical release, inward reflection, prayer, and quiet presence.

Rest & Aftercare

After the active portion of the ceremony, participants are given time to rest. This part of the experience is intentionally spacious so the body can settle and participants can be supported with care.

Reflection & Integration

There will be time for journaling, quiet reflection, and gentle integration. Participants are encouraged to listen to their body, honor what moved through them, and take the rest of the day with care.

Closing Circle

The ceremony closes with grounding, gratitude, and aftercare reminders. Guests are encouraged to leave slowly and create spaciousness after the ceremony for rest and integration.
