Kalighat Kali Temple, the epicentre of this walk. Kolkata Explorers will take you on a guided story telling session around this temple and through the locality along the banks of Adi Ganga. This Walk will take you through this thriving locality along the banks of Adi Ganga, the painters and patuas settlements before ending at Rani Rashmoni's Bagan bari. Come and explore the history, heritage and legacies of this area.
Starting point : Metro Exit gate no. 1 of Kalighat Metro Station
Ending point : Balaram Bose Ghat from where you can reach Metro Gate no 6 of Jatin Das Road Metro Station or take a cab
IMPORTANT : TO REDUCE SINGLE USE PLASTIC USAGE WE REQUEST YOU TO PLEASE CARRY YOUR OWN REUSABLE DRINKING WATER BOTTLE. SINCE THIS IS A WALK FOR STORIES OF THIS OLD LOCALITY, WE WILL NOT BE GOING INSIDE THE SANCTUM OF KALI TEMPLE.
